から vs ので — 区别与用法总结から vs ので (kara vs node) — The Complete Guide
から和ので都表示"因为……所以……",很多句子里两个都能用,但语气、礼貌程度和后面能接什么并不一样。这一页把 Lesson 15 里的规则展开讲:先给一句话结论,再按 7 种典型场景对比,最后用一张判断流程和 10 道自测题收尾。
から (kara) and ので (node) both mean "because / so", and in many sentences either one works — but they differ in tone, in politeness, and in what can come after them. This page expands on the rules from Lesson 15: a one-line answer first, then seven typical situations side by side, and finally a decision flow and a 10-question self-test.
一句话结论The Short Answer
- から 是说话人主动给出的理由:语气直接,后面什么都能接——包括命令、禁止和强烈的主张。
- ので 把因果当成顺理成章的情况来说明:语气柔和、显得客气,适合请求、道歉、对上级说话。
判断时问自己一句:我是在"讲我的理由",还是在"客气地说明情况"? 讲理由、下命令用から;说明情况、请人帮忙用ので。
- から gives a reason as the speaker's own argument: direct in tone, and it can be followed by anything — commands, prohibitions and strong claims included.
- ので presents cause and effect as a natural state of affairs: soft and polite, ideal for requests, apologies and talking to superiors.
Ask one question: am I arguing my reason, or politely explaining the situation? Arguing or giving orders → から. Explaining or asking a favour → ので.

场景对比Situation by Situation
场景 1:两个都能用:平常说明理由Situation 1: Either works — everyday reasons
(It's cold today, so let's wear a coat. → my own judgment, casual)
- 今日は寒いので、コートを着ていきます。(It's cold today, so I'll wear a coat. → a calm explanation)
- バスが来なかったから、タクシーで来たよ。(The bus didn't come, so I took a taxi.)
- バスが来なかったので、タクシーで来ました。(The bus didn't come, so I came by taxi.)
→ When no command is involved and no special politeness is needed, both are correct; only the tone differs. から is more conversational and sounds like "my reason"; ので sounds more even.
场景 2:后面是命令、禁止 → からSituation 2: A command or prohibition follows → から
- 危ないから、触るな。(危险,别碰!)
- 時間がないから、急げ。(没时间了,快点!)
- 大丈夫だから、心配するな。(没事的,别担心。)
- 危ないので、触らないでください。(危险,请勿触摸。→ 换成客气的请求,就可以用ので)
→ 命令形(〜ろ・〜え)和禁止形(〜な)语气很强,和柔和、客观的ので放在一起前后不协调,所以要用から。❌ 危ないので、触るな。
- 危ないから、触るな。(It's dangerous — don't touch it!)
- 時間がないから、急げ。(We're out of time — hurry!)
- 大丈夫だから、心配するな。(It's fine, so don't worry.)
- 危ないので、触らないでください。(Please do not touch — it is dangerous. → turned into a polite request, ので works)
→ The imperative (〜ろ・〜え) and the prohibitive (〜な) are forceful, and they clash with the soft, objective tone of ので, so they take から. ❌ 危ないので、触るな.
场景 3:请求、道歉、对上级 → ので 更得体Situation 3: Requests, apologies, superiors → ので is the better fit
(I have a fever — could I take the day off today?)
- 道が混んでいたので、遅くなってしまいました。(The roads were busy, so I'm late.)
- 少し遅れますので、先に始めていてください。(I'll be a little late, so please start without me.)
- △ 熱があるから、今日は休みます。(Said to a boss, this sounds like "I have my reason, so I've decided to stay home" — not polite enough)
→ ので frames the reason as "this is just how things are" rather than as your argument, which makes requests, apologies and excuses softer. Formal speech often uses 〜ますので and 〜ですので.
场景 4:句末说"是因为……" → 只能用からSituation 4: "It's because…" at the end of a sentence → only から
(Why are you studying Japanese?)
- B:日本のドラマが好きだからです。(Because I like Japanese dramas.)
- 試合に負けたのは、練習が足りなかったからだ。(The reason we lost the match is that we didn't practise enough.)
- ちょっと待ってて。すぐ戻るから。(Wait a sec — I'll be right back. → sentence-final から, reassuring)
→ 〜からです / 〜からだ can put the reason at the end of a sentence as the "answer"; ので cannot: ❌ 練習が足りなかったのでです. In speech, ending a sentence with から is also common, with a "so don't worry" feel.
(It's precisely because I love it that I can keep it up every day.)
- 引き受けたからには、最後までやります。(Now that I've taken it on, I'll see it through.)
- 高いからといって、いい物だとは限らない。(Just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's good.)
→ から can be extended with こそ, には, といって and more into new patterns (common at N3–N2); ので has no such forms: ❌ 好きなのでこそ.
(I have an exam tomorrow, you see. So I'm heading home early today.)
- 明日は試験があるので、今日は早く帰ります。(Since I have an exam tomorrow, I'm heading home early today.)
- すみません、用事があるんで、お先に失礼します。(Sorry, I have something to do, so I'll head off first. → んで is the spoken form of ので)
- もう大人なんだから、自分で決めなさい。(You're an adult now, so decide for yourself. → んだから stresses "you know this reason too")
→ ので is originally の + で, so like のです / んです it carries an "explaining the situation" tone — which is why it sounds gentle. Going the other way, んだから strengthens the argumentative tone of から and is common when scolding or persuading.
(Tomorrow is Sunday, so I can sleep in.)
- 明日は日曜日なので、お店は休みです。(Tomorrow is Sunday, so the shop is closed.)
- この部屋は静かなので、よく眠れました。(This room is quiet, so I slept well.)
- 初めてですので、いろいろ教えてください。(It's my first time, so please teach me the ropes. → formal です + ので)
→ With な-adjectives and nouns, から needs だ and ので needs な. ❌ 雨なから, ❌ 雨だので. Also, だから and なので can stand alone at the start of a sentence as "so / therefore"; in formal writing そのため is the usual choice.
